HOW MY FAMILY GOT A 70 INCH PLASMA TV

Staying in PJ means no TV for me in this rented house. Oh, the things we take for granted like plasma TV at home!!! And ASTRO!

Other than drugs and alcohol, the next thing that you'll get addicted to is TV if you have a Sony Bravia 70 inch coupled with Astro HD TV. No, this is not an advertorial, if you're thinking. I've quit adverts.

I'm feeling that need to feed my addiction right now after one week staying at home. But I want to tell you the story how my family got a plasma TV, and not my addiction to TV. It's a super hilarious story.

We used to have a Toshiba Bomba, damn ancient. Because of its elderliness, the TV needs a little kick before it starts off its engine. So once you turn on the TV, you'll have to smack it twice, or maybe once with the right amount of force, on the right side before it will show you the picture. Or else you'll be listening to the audio only. Sometimes, while you're watching, the graphic just disappear and you'll have to restart the engine by hitting it again.

It's a tiring process, especially when you ngam ngam have to miss that Arsenal goal because the stupid TV decided to throw its tantrum. So, my brother thought its time to ask Papa to get a new TV.

Oh, I tell you... my dad is a thrifty person. He'll save every single penny in every way. Being as frugal as usual, he told my bro, "The TV still OK what... Why need to buy new TV? Eh, I send you to engineering school, you go repair lah! Sure some wire salah parking somewhere inside."

My bro couldn't stand hitting the TV anymore, and my dad refused to buy a new TV, he has no choice but to repair the old one. I must say he did a good job. The TV was perfectly fine after he repaired it.

But guess what happen???????

Because my dad so used to hitting the TV after he turned it on.... he hit the TV even after my bro repaired it!!!

Now, the funny part is here...

THE TV DIED AFTER THAT!!!

I mean seriously dead! My bro can't even repair that. It decided to stop working forever and ever. Not only there's no video, this time there's no audio too. Hahaha... Fuck my dad's life! He has to buy a new TV no matter what. Bwahahahahaha!!!!

Fortune cookie message: The more you want to save, the more you'll have to spend.

No matter how many times I hit my tv, when it's playing tantrum, it just switch channels automatically.
